Dear Fellow Quilters,

             The annual Gig Harbor Quilt Festival benefiting Breast Cancer awareness, education, research, diagnosis and support of breast cancer survivors is happening September 29 – October 3, 2004.  I want as many people as possible to know about this fun and important event.  People can view the 23 wonderful bed size quilts at   www.gigharborquiltfestival.org .  Each quilt will be offered for auction at the October 2nd Gala Dinner and Auction.  Each quilt has been pieced and donated by a team of quilters.  Local long arm quilters donated their time, thread and batting to quilt each one.

I am personally asking you for help in making the Gig Harbor Quilt Festival a continuing success in our fight against breast cancer.  We need attendees for the Gala Dinner and / or the Auction.  Doors will open at 5:00pm,and you may then view the Silent Auction elements.
Dinner and brief remarks at 6:15 pm, then the Live Auction and Desert Frenzy begin  promptly at 7:15pm.  Event details and a registration form can be found at the Festival website listed above. 

This is an excellent opportunity for the professionals in your life to display a wonderful quilt in their reception area while contributing to this great cause.  Anyone that is redecorating or looking for a quilt for themselves or a wedding gift will find the perfect solution.  Please let everyone you know about this event - or better yet, bring them with you.  We always have a great time and hope that this is our best year yet.  The Dessert Frenzy is to die for.  The most important thing is that all proceeds from the Silent and Live Auctions, and the Dessert Frenzy, go to Breast Cancer Research.
