YES, it is
that time of
year again
and we are
going to be
9 years
old! I
have a hard
time
believing
that I have
managed to
be in
business
this long.
We have been
downtown for
a full year
also. Wow!
And you have
to know that
it is all
because of
you. I have
been lucky
in that I
have the
best staff
anyone could
have. They
are truly
wonderful to
me and best
of all, to
all
of you. And
I know they
are why you
keep coming
back.
So, it's
time to
celebrate
and we want
to come
celebrate
with us.
April 4,
5 & 6
(Friday -
Sunday) we
will have
our 9th
Anniversary
Sale. Come
in and
pick an egg
for your
additional
discount,
special gift
or $$$s
off. All
bolted
fabric will
be 15% off,
books and
patterns
10%. Fat
quarters -
buy 8,
get 9th
free.
Fabric,
Fabric,
Fabric is
coming out
our ears.
We have so
much fabric
coming in
that I just
can't keep
up with
everything.
We are madly
trying to
make samples
of all the
kits that we
have but it
is getting
ahead of
us. We
have 2 new
'convenience'
quilts we
are kitting
up. I call
them
'cheater'
quilts but
'convenience'
sounds so
much
better.
They are
both from
MODA, so
you know
they will be
nice. One
is called
Ruby's
Flower
Garden and
the
other is
Summer's
Baskets of
Flowers.
Ruby's
Flower
Garden is by
Kathy
Schmitz, the
designer of
one of our
Block of the
Months and
the big
blocks
are
preprinted
in country
colors.
Summer's
Baskets of
Flowers is
68" x 68"
in with a
light
background.
There are
preprinted
blocks and
picket fence
borders.
Both will
look
fabulous
when quilted
and without
all the fuss
of
appliqué.
We have more
boating/lighthouse
fabric,
Backyard
Safari
(bugs) from
Clothworks,
William's
Inn
(reproduction
fabric) from
Benartex,
Tulip Time
(nice soft
fancy
tulips) from
Northcott,
Lake and
Lodge (great
guy's
fabric)
from
Clothworks
and Mary
Englebriet
(kitted in a
cute little
bag) from
Moda.
Lots of the
fabrics are
in kits. We
have more
Lucile's
Flower
Garden kits
with 2
different
packs to
choose
from. There
some new
threads in
from
Superior
Threads. we
got in
Razzle
Dazzle,
Glitters and
Metallic all
to go
with a new
Embellishment
class we are
offering.
Shop Hop
Start saving
your $$$$,
shop hop is
just around
the corner
and this
will be
the 10th
anniversary
of this
exciting
event. It's
hard for me
to believe
that I have
participated
in all 10
years of
shop hop and
it has only
gotten
better each
year. You
need to
remember to
thank Mary
Stanton of
Calico Cat
and Bernina,
Too for
starting
this madness
and devoting
all of the
time that
she has for
these past
10 years.
This fun has
happened all
because of
her.
Thank you,
Mary! The
dates for
this year
are
Wednesday
June 18 to
Sunday
June 22.
We just got
our fabric
samples of
the shop hop
fabric from
In The
Beginning
and
Clothworks.
We will be
using them
to make our
store block
samples that
get sent to
ITB. They
then make 2
quilts with
the 2 blocks
we send
them.
They use one
quilt to
make the
poster that
we sell and
ITB keeps
that quilt
for their
archives and
the second
quilt will
be giving to
a charity
chosen
by the shops
for a fund
raising
item. Come
in and take
a look and
take a
feel of the
fabric. It
has a very
nice hand.
Passports
are in and
ready
for you to
pick up and
start
plotting
your route.
Block of
the Months
We finally
have
everything
to get our
block of the
months up
and going.
If
you haven't
gotten
signed up
for any or
all of them
then you
need to come
in
and do it
now. We

choose from.
